So I had to update my review bc my original review was for the old Shipyard The Lorain Brewing Company: Pretty much the same interior space as the shipyard, which honestly I would not have changed much about the design either. It is beautiful. HUGE selection of top-notch beers to choose from, and our bartender was unreal with the level of knowledge she displayed about each beer. We sat at the main bar. We tasted at least 5 samples and it was awesome, well done! So after a couple pints of the Lorain style brews we decided to order from the somewhat smaller menu that was offered as compared the the Avon location. Still a nice selection. I had the Lake Erie Monster (Walleye sandwich) with well done hand-cut fries. My gf ordered the build-your-own wrap (turkey with like 39 veggies I think) and sauteed Brussels. After a 40-ish minute wait and a couple different beers, our food came out. This restaurant menu has gone the way some others...they serve sandwiches with "chips" and charge extra for the real sides. Both meals were very good but the walleye was a bit over salted. The fries were terrific. The beers were fabulous. The crowd was a good mix of age groups. Overall a very good visit that we will definitely be coming back.

After a year of planning, we had an amazing wedding experience in the event center. I can’t not thank the event manager, Stacy, enough for the exceptional service and genuine care for her couples. She continuously went above and beyond, checking in on the little details and answering every question I sent her way. She was extremely responsive and truly relieved so much of the wedding planning stress. We held our rehearsal dinner at the restaurant and our large party was accommodated despite it being a very busy Friday night. The wedding day itself was nothing short of amazing. The team ensured the event went smoothly. The event space was flawlessly flipped from ceremony to reception. Many out of town guests complimented that amazing space and the delicious food, and some in town guests who had not yet made it out to LBC were excited to have finally tried it and had a great experience. There were so many options and ability to customize our wedding event to ensure it was exactly what we wanted. So happy with how everything turned out! Thank you, again, to Stacy who made it all possible!!

Food was delicious and service was great. I got the special which was a brunch burger with a tasty maple aioli, crunchy hash browns, an egg, and bacon. Fun twist on the traditional burger. Homemade chips were great too. I wish the chip dip had a little more flavor or spice. Our server was friendly and very attentive. I’ll definitely go again.

Plenty of paces to park. Whether you bring your car or your boat. Surrounding area was clean, well lit and had a good atmosphere.. Restaurants, shopping and hotels are right there. We had a good time & great food. Great selection of beers & bourbon, some well bottles.

I had an avocado appetizer unbelievable. Never had it before and a totally new taste. Then I had the meatloaf dinner with the meatloaf on cauliflower mash and green beans. A short rib gravy topped the large portion of savory meatloaf, full of flavor. A roll would have been a nice compliment and that is the only complaint I have. The Tito's and soda with a twist of lime finished it off. All in all I can't wait to go back. Went back and our server Makenzie B was excellent. Very good food, very good drinks

Had dinner there tonight unexpectedly. Ordered the walleye sandwich without the bun - it was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised with the impressive presentation. Often when you order “no bun” the food is put on the plate haphazardly. Cole Slaw was so good I got an order to go! The Fish Fry Dinner was very tasty! Drew was awesome - very fast, friendly and attentive. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the portions. We will definitely be returning!

Great service and ambiance. We had Walleye Sandwich without the bun, chili, a flatbread and boneless wings. We decided that we would skip the chili and flatbread upon a return trip but the others we would order again. There’s some really tasty sounding items on the menu we would like to try.

The newly opened Lorain Brewing Company is a welcome addition to the local food and brew scene. My wife and I stopped in on a cold and snowy Friday night last week and the place was jammed. We started with some of there brewed beers. They make sampling there beer menu easy, as you can buy a flight, or single glasses in three different sizes, giving you a chance to really examine whats available. The "tatchos" loaded tots were crispy and delish (pictured). I tried 2 different types of wings and both were very good. My wife had the lobste bisque and it really was the highlight of the items we order. Super creamy and full or rich lobster flavor. The service was very good and we did not have to wait for any items. A very nice night out.
